SHRINKS has been nominated for a VOICE AWARD.

The Voice Awards are sponsored by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, SAMHSA, in conjunction with several national organizations, including the Writers Guild of America west. The Awards recognize writers and producers of entertainment programming -- television, radio and film -- who have given "voice" to people with mental disorders by incorporating empathetic and accurate portrayals into their scripts, programs and productions. Past award ceremonies, covered by the Daily Variety, Entertainment Tonight, the LA Times and the New York Times among other media outlets, were attended by several hundred leaders in both the entertainment and mental health communities.

SHRINKS will be judged by a panel of prominent members of the entertainment, mental health and news media communities, including Neal Baer, showrunner of Law & Order:SVU, David Hoberman, Exec. Producer of Monk; Joe Pichirallo, producer of The Secret Life of Bees, former WGA President Vicki Riskin, and many others. Previous VOICE AWARD winners include episodes of: Crossing Jordan, Dirt, Friday Night Lights, General Hospital, House, Huff, Monk, and The Sopranos. This year’s awards ceremony will take place October 14th at Paramount Studios.
